Itinerary

On arrival at Chennai Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. After check-in and a short rest, begin sightseeing in Chennai, one of South India’s most vibrant cultural cities. Visit Kapaleeshwarar Temple, an excellent example of Dravidian temple architecture, followed by Santhome Basilica, built over the tomb of St. Thomas. Continue to Marina Beach, one of the longest urban beaches in the world, and enjoy the lively seaside atmosphere. If time permits, also visit Fort St. George and the Government Museum.

After breakfast, drive along the scenic East Coast Road to Mahabalipuram, a beautiful coastal town and UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival check in at hotel and proceed for sightseeing. Visit the magnificent Shore Temple, beautifully set beside the Bay of Bengal, the famous Five Rathas, Arjuna’s Penance, and Krishna’s Butter Ball. Evening free to relax by the beach or explore local handicraft shops.

After breakfast, excursion to Kanchipuram, one of India’s oldest temple cities and famous for silk sarees. Visit Ekambareswarar Temple, Kailasanathar Temple, and Varadharaja Perumal Temple, all known for remarkable architecture and spiritual importance. Explore the local silk weaving centers before returning to Mahabalipuram by evening.
