Detailed Itinerary

Recommended Itinerary:

  • Day: 1- Arrival at Delhi and day train to Chandigarh

    Upon your arrival at Delhi airport for Indian Himalayas with Nature and Culture, our company representative will meet and greet you. You will be transferred to the air-conditioned car to proceed towards your pre-booked hotel. Later, you will be dropped at Delhi railway station to board your day train to Chandigarh.

  • Day: 2 – Chandigarh – Manali

    Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will drive (8 hours) towards Manali. On reaching this place, you will check in to your hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day: 3 – Manali

    After having breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for sightseeing in Manali and visit famous tourist attractions such as Solang Valley, Hidimba Devi temple, Rohtang Pass and Bhrigu Lake. Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day: 4 – Manali – Kaza

    Have breakfast at the hotel, then we drive (12 hours) towards Kaza. After crossing the two passes – Rohtang and Kunzum pass, you will enter the Spiti Valley. Then drive further towards Kaza and check in the campsite or guest house for overnight stay.

  • Day: 5 – Kaza

    After having breakfast, you will drive towards Key Village and walk for around 45 minutes to reach the Key monastery. Also, visit the Drangste and Tabo monastery. You will see the beautiful landscapes of Spiti to enjoy the vacation to the fullest. Return to the campsite or guest house for overnight stay.

  • Day: 6 – Kaza – Langza – Komic

    Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will drive to Langza, a journey on one of the world’s highest motorable roads. This place is one of the picturesque villages of Spiti located on the highland meadows with snow-capped mountain ranges forming the backdrop. After this drive (6 hours) again to reach the campsite in Komic. Visit Komic monastery that dates to the early 14th century and is built like a fortified castle with massive slanted mud walls. Enjoy your overnight stay at the campsite or guest house.

  • Day: 7 – Komic – Demul

    After having breakfast at the hotel, you will drive towards Demul. En Route, you will visit Chamai Lapchai pass and from there on leave on foot through the grazing lands to reach Demul Village. You can see many wildlife animals like the snowcock, red fox and Tibetan wolf. Enjoy your overnight stay in a mountain tent.

  • Day: 8 – Demul – Lhalung – Dhankar – Tabo

    Have breakfast at the tent and enjoy a leisurely walk to reach Zong Phu village. After this, you will do the trek to reach Lhalung and then drive towards Dhankar. Visit the Dhankar monastery and Dhankhar fort. After seeing all these places, you will drive towards Tabo (“Ajanta of the Himalayas”, as the Tabo Chaos-Khor Monastery is popularly known, was founded in 996 A.D., The Year of the Fire Ape by the Tibetan Calendar. The Tabo Gompa, or Buddhist monastery, is second in importance only to the Tholing Gompa in Tibet in the entire Himalayan region). Enjoy your overnight stay at the campsite or guest house.

  • Day: 9 – Tabo – Losar

    Early morning witness the morning prayers at the Monastery. Later after breakfast drive to Losar. Enjoy your overnight stay at the campsite or guest house.

  • Day: 10 – Losar – Kumzum La – Chandartal

    After having breakfast, you will drive towards Kumzum La and thereafter walk towards Chandartal. The lake with its green water is extremely enchanting with the snow-clad mountains providing an excellent background. This is a beautiful lake in the heart of the Peerpanjal mountain range at an altitude of about 4,270 meters in the Himalayas. This lake looks especially beautiful on a full moon night which is why is it is called “Chandra” meaning Moon and “Taal” meaning lake. Enjoy your overnight stay in a tent.

  • Day: 11 – Chandartal – Manali

    Have breakfast at the tent and explore the beautiful surroundings. Later you will drive towards Manali through Rohtang Pass. On arrival, enjoy your lunch and explore the market to do some shopping. Enjoy your overnight stay in the hotel.

  • Day: 12 – Manali – Mcleodganj

    After having breakfast at the hotel, you will drive (8 hours) to reach Mcleodganj. Enjoy your overnight stay in the hotel.

  • Day: 13 – Mcleodganj

    Have breakfast at the hotel and then explore major tourist attractions in Mcleodganj. You will visit the Tibetan Museum, Bhagsunath Temple, Bhagsu Falls, and Dal Lake. Enjoy your overnight stay in the hotel.

  • Day: 14 – Mcleodganj – Amritsar

    After having breakfast at the hotel, you will drive (5 hours) to reach Amritsar. The rest of the day is free for independent activities. Enjoy your overnight stay in the hotel.

  • Day: 15 – Amritsar sightseeing and Overnight train to Delhi

    After having early morning breakfast at the hotel, you will drive to visit the Golden Temple, which is a renowned prayer house (Gurdwara) of the Sikh community. You can hear Kirtans and classical ragas, which are recited with the combination of Sikh community music. Also visit Jallianwala Bagh- historic site where British General Michael Dyer massacred hundreds of innocent Indian children, women, and men on April 13, 1919. This place comprises a memorial and garden, which was built in the memory of these innocent Indian people. You will also visit Wagah Border, which is a ceremonial border of India-Pakistan is also known as the “Berlin wall of Asia” and well-known for a ceremony called “lowering of flags”. Later, you will be transferred to the Amritsar railway station to board your overnight train to Delhi.

  • Day: 16 – Delhi sightseeing and Departure

    Have early morning breakfast at the hotel, as you will be transferred to the car to proceed for full-day Delhi sightseeing to explore major tourist attractions like Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb, and Parliament House. In the evening you will also go for a rickshaw ride in the bazaar of Chandni chowk along with the Khari Baoli spice market. On completion of the sightseeing, you will be dropped at Delhi airport to board your international flight home.

    *Please Note- Red Fort, Akshardham Temple and Lotus Temple remains closed on Mondays.
